The Blue Pepper Farm Farmhouse is on our 156-acre working sheep dairy. Fully renovated in 2001, with stunning mountain views, a private swimming pool, close proximity to High Peaks hiking trails, 15 min to Whiteface, and 25 to Lake Placid. Come enjoy a fantastic Adirondack farm-stay at Blue Pepper Farm!

Guests will enjoy a staggering mountain panorama from the porch, deck, or pool overlooking the lush pastures where sheep and laying hens graze. Harvest dinner with us straight from the garden in the summer and fall to accompany fresh, organically raised lamb, pork, and eggs right from our farm. We are certified by Animal Welfare Approved and pride ourselves on healthy, happy animals. Where we provide supplemental feed we use NY organic grains and are part of Northeast Organic Farmer's Association's Farmer's Pledge program.

The house has 4 bedrooms; one king, one queen, one full, and two twin beds (cribs available). There are 3 bathrooms. Enjoy in-floor radiant heat throughout the house during the colder months.

The Yurt

Our 30' yurt sits at the top of a 25-acre pasture with phenomenal views of Whiteface and the Adirondack mountains. It offers plenty of space for 2-6 people on an adventure into the mountains and is available from September through early June. Winter reservations are available via separate link (see below).

Nature is never far away. Enjoy cooking and dining in our outdoor kitchen, next to the yurt, and showering al fresco in the newly-built outdoor shower. A composting outhouse is nearby for your convenience.

Our yurt comes with electricity, but not running water (running water is available in the outdoor kitchen seasonally) - it’s glamping! Through the colder months, firewood (the only heat source) for purchase at the farm, bring sleeping bags and slippers for cold weather. Our yurt is not a fully conditioned space, it's a somewhat insulated tent.

The Shepherd's Crook

Tucked in the woods on our working sheep farm, our off-grid tiny house is the perfect escape and a stepping stone into the Adirondack mountains for hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing. Enjoy the coziness of “the Crook” between forays into our north country wilderness!

What you will find: adventure, peace, quiet, a woodstove, candles, a down blanket, a fire pit, privacy, composting outhouse, and firewood for sale. **Please note there is NO electricity and NO running water. Akin to glamping!

The Crook is just 200 square feet, plus an 8'x8' sleeping loft with a steep ladder. Abundant windows and a big sliding front door let in beautiful, natural light during the day. The composting outhouse is 30' out the back door, just add some wood shavings from the bin after use. There's a small one-burner propane stove on the counter in the small kitchen with the basics to cook/eat for 2. Use the blue water jug to get potable water from the blue-handled hydrant by the barn. The farm water tastes excellent and is safe to drink, please do not bring bottled water!
